Battersea Park Track Relay Project Reaches Completion
Another major refurbishment project at Battersea Park Sports Ground is now complete.
Delivered by Alliance Leisure on behalf of Wandsworth Council, the project has focused on the refurbishment of the track relay facilities at Battersea Park, helping to enhance the site for continued community and sporting use.
The refurbishment was procured through the UK Leisure Framework, owned and managed by Denbighshire Leisure Ltd (DLL).
Expert project partners SSL Group and Velocity Sports supported the delivery of the refurbishment, helping to ensure the works meet the required standards and provide a high-quality facility for those using the park.
The project demonstrates how targeted investment in existing sports infrastructure can help local authorities maintain and improve community facilities, extending their lifespan while supporting continued participation in sport and physical activity.
The project follows the recent completion of the wider Battersea Park Sports Ground refurbishment, which saw us deliver a programme of improvements to transform the existing artificial turf pitches, replacing ageing playing surfaces with modern, high-performance systems designed to support intensive community use for years to come. Both projects were funded through contributions from local developers secured by the Council.
