Get to know a little more about Ollie as we put the following questions to him.
What’s your career highlight to date?
Celebrating promotions, progress and exam passes with team members I’ve worked with and helped with training and development.
You’ve got a free weekend, what are you up to?
I love exploring new Cities, Towns and Villages, living in the Cotswolds there are lots of nice places to visit.
Main considerations when choosing a new place to explore:
- I’m a huge craft beer fan (DEYA being my favourite and most local) so ideally there would be a local brewery to check out.
- A great walking spot that our dog Effie would enjoy.
- A nice place to stop off for lunch.
Tell us something about yourself that most people wouldn’t know?
I’m double jointed. I used to be able to hold my hands behind my back and keep hold of them and then bring them over my head all the way to the front of my chest (if you’ve just tried this then you’ll agree how impressive it is!).
Have you ever met anyone famous?
I met the actor that played Kevin in the American Pie films at a bar in Banbury after he had played a gig there (his acting is a lot better than his music…..).
What’s your favourite sport and team?
I’m a big football fan and Chelsea supporter. It used to be my favourite sport to play as well but being clumsy and injury prone I mostly stick to badminton and squash now.
Where’s the most extravagant place you’ve been to?
Whilst I was in Bangkok I stayed in some very extravagant hotels, they cost roughly the same amount per night as a hostel in Europe which was great!
You’ve got a £20 credit on Uber Eats, what are you ordering?
A steak Burrito with some hot sauce and a tasty beer to wash it down with.
Favourite holiday destination?
Tokyo, without doubt my favourite place in the world!
Where are you based and have you always lived there?
I’ve recently moved to Prestbury after living in Cheltenham for the past few years.
I’m originally from a town called Alcester in Warwickshire and I’ve also lived in Portsmouth, Worcester and London.
“I love working for businesses with innovative business models that are growing quickly, this is one of the reasons I’m super excited to be joining Alliance!”
