This project saw the upgrade of two adjoining studios at Ruthin Craft Centre into a single, secure exhibition space, funded by the National Contemporary Arts Gallery Wales (NCAGW) loan programme.
The redevelopment also included new timber doors, security-rated glazing, blackout blinds, enhanced environmental controls, LED lighting, and integrated CCTV systems.
Demolition works removed outdated facilities and internal partitions to unify the studios, and mechanical and electrical upgrades were planned to manage visitor-driven climate needs, aligned with Government Indemnity Scheme standards.
The works have resulted in a modernised cultural asset that enhances regional arts infrastructure.
