About the Project
Following investment from Sport Wales, the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Ceredigion County Council and completed in the spring of 2024, this pitch development project (procured through the UK Leisure Framework, managed by Denbighshire Leisure Ltd) saw the significant transformation of an out-of-use tarmac area adjacent to Plascrug Leisure Centre.
Overseen by SLL and delivered by Hunts Contractors, the disused tarmac area has been transformed into a new floodlit synthetic turf Multi Use Games Area (MUGA).
It's been great to work with Alliance Leisure once again and bring our vision for a derelict tarmacadam to fruition. This project has been two years in the planning and through the UK Leisure Framework and working in partnership with Alliance Leisure, Surfacing Standards Limited and Hunts and with the financial support of Sport Wales, the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Ceredigion County Council, we've delivered a fantastic multi sport facility that provides increased opportunities for schools and community clubs in the North of the county.
