David Stalker joins Alliance Leisure as Advisor to the Board
Leisure development specialist Alliance Leisure has appointed the health and fitness industry veteran, David Stalker, as advisor to the board.
Other former roles include group brands and marketing director at Leisure Connection PLC, managing director of Harpers Fitness Clubs Ltd and chairman of Fit for Sport Ltd. He also holds a number of non-executive director roles.
Stalker said: “I’ve been a long-time admirer of Alliance Leisure, particularly of Sarah Watts and Paul Cluett. Sarah is probably the most talented business person in our sector, and both Sarah and Paul are long-term friends and colleagues. Alliance is a trailblazing company, known for its innovation and breaking new pastures and it has an impressive team.
“I have extensive experience across all aspects of our industry, from supplier to operator and local authority to our chartered institute. I have a deep understanding of its direction. My strength lies in using diplomacy to drive initiatives and engage people on the journey.
“As I transition to new roles, my priority is to collaborate with people I like and respect, and most importantly, to work with organisations that have the potential to significantly impact the nation’s health and enhance the quality of our industry.”
