About the Project

September 2024 saw the opening of the new outdoor gym at Chepstow Leisure Centre which was completed on-time and on budget. The new facility will enhance the member experience and attract new customers following the refurbishment to the main gym in 2022.

Fitness supplier Indigo were a key partner in this project, not only providing the fitness equipment but also sourcing and project managing the canopy specialist and groundworks. Indigo selected the range of kit to be as inclusive as possible, enabling school children, disabled users and community groups to all experience the benefits of exercising outdoors.

The new exercise area at Chepstow is a fantastic addition to the leisure centre offering. We continue to look at what we can offer our members and the local community, and these facilities provide an additional way to take part in physical activity. I know these facilities will be a popular area for many years with the members.

This project started by consulting with the local community and members to ensure we delivered a facility that was fit-for-purpose and complemented the existing activities. Now that it's open, it's been fantastic to listen to the feedback and hear that we got it right. I'm looking forward to seeing the wide range of groups and members use the facility over the coming years.
