Alliance Leisure completed this pitch project in September 2022 after working closely with key stakeholders including MonLife, the local leisure centre and comprehensive school, Sport Wales, Football Association of Wales, Hockey Wales and Monmouthshire Junior Football League. The improvement of the outdoor playing facilities and pitches in this location was a key component of the Council’s strategy and extends the curriculum, extracurricular and community and community sport club programme.
This has been an amazing project delivering really positive outcomes for the health and wellbeing of our communities. We have seen huge levels of interest from our community sporting clubs, schools and members. These quality facilities are inspirational for our next generation of sports stars. The feedback levels and appreciation have been well received.
